Templating & Installation

Before either could be carried out, we need the following:

  • Templating:
    • Completed carcassing;
    • Kitchen base units being fully secured and leveled;
    • Installed sinks;
    • All information required needs to be available, such as manufacturers templates for hob cut outs, sink cut outs, tap hole sizes, etc.
  • Installation:
    • All bases need to be fully secured and leveled;
    • You need to make sure that the units are capable of supporting the weight of the stone (approximately 90kg per M2).
    • We also need adequate access to the working areas.

Edges (6 edges available)

The 8 main edge finishes shown thereafter are the most popular ones, although our stonemasons can produce any bespoke edge that would be required for a specific project:

Up-stand

We can produce matching up-stands along the back of the granite worktop in order to protect the wall from any spillage.

Drainer Groove

Drainer grooves are cut into the granite by the sink and enable any water to be drawn back into the sink.

Splash-backs are usually fitted at the back of the kitchen hob and offer a very nice addition to the granite worktop.
